Hello! I’m Rachael Gorbutt, the founder of Regal Performing Arts. Since 1997, I have been sharing my passion for music with my community through being a music teacher and a performer. I have performed in many vocal musical genres including musical theatre, operetta, oratorio, and cabaret as well as classical piano.

My entire family, on my mother’s side, is filled with musicians and music teachers. It’s no wonder I came out of the womb singing!

I have honed my abilities as a music teacher through my studies at Catholic University, for my Bachelors, and Shenandoah University (where my grandparents met, Granddaddy was a voice major and Nana was an organ major) for my masters in music education. I taught in the public schools as a music teacher for 11 years and after the birth of my children, I continued to teach in preschools, and now ultimately, my own studio.

One of my innate abilities is to understand the musical child, because I am a musician too.

I have a unique perspective about how musicians learn due to my musical point of view and extensive music education background. I also understand what it takes to perform without overwhelm and stage fright. I have empathy and patience for my students and I am their biggest musical cheer leader.
